We still go out and about birding every weekend (weather permitting) but dont..or rarely blog.
We personally havent for quite a while now as i think too much has changed as far as birding goes.
Too many people tend to treat ''birdwatching'' as 'one-upmanship' and 'ive got more ticks than you'.
There are too many so called twitchers tearing round the countryside scaring birds half to death in the name of twitching. Weve seen them many a time screeching up in their big ugly 4x4's, then 3 or 4 of them jump out have a quick couple of minutes to see whatevers been reported in the area, back into the car and off they tear to wherever they came from....thats not what i call birdwatching, and thats unfortunately the way of things too often now, plus the fact that a lot of the lovely peaceful places we once enjoyed visiting arent nice peaceful places any longer......
