Popped to cresswell after work for some fresh air, but it was quite cold and damp there. The shelduck on the pond seems to have lost a few of her chicks..she's only got 4 now, and there was 8 or 9 of them. Usual culprits - blackheaded gulls, 3 reed buntings, 10+ linnetts, 2 grey heron, 6 mallards, 1 tufted duck. 2 teal and 1 barn owl.
It was good to see the barn owl as its a few months since we saw him last. Managed a couple of pics of the owl, but, from inside the car as he was sitting on the fence just past the farm near the hide. Hope the weather picks up as ive got 2 days off tomorrow...lie in
